Reach new owners while the first bill is still a surprise.
The year after buying a house is when people spend on it. Solar competes for that budget against a kitchen, a fence and a heat pump, and mostly loses on timing rather than merit.

The moment
The bill that starts the conversation
A new owner does not know what their house costs to run until the first full quarter arrives. When it does, and it is higher than the place they left, solar stops being a someday idea and becomes a thing they actually look up.
That is a narrow and very valuable window, and it is nearly impossible to find any other way. A household that has just bought is also, unlike a renter, able to say yes: the roof is theirs to decide about.
the first year
what they are deciding
- What the new house actually costs to run
- Whether to put solar on before or after the other work
- Who to trust with a quote on a roof they barely know
None of it is settled yet. Somebody gets to be first.

up for grabs
The offer
What your letter actually says.
Your welcome letter
“Once your first full power bill arrives, we are happy to look at the roof and tell you honestly whether it is worth it.”
your new neighbours at your business

Free roof assessment
Offers that work for solar installers
You choose the offer and we design the card around it. These are the shapes that tend to earn a first visit from someone who has nothing to compare you to yet.
- A free roof assessment and savings estimate
- A no-obligation quote for new residents
- A discount on installation booked within the first year
Examples, not a menu. Anything you can honour at the counter can go on the card.
Why it works
Feels like a welcome. Tracks like a campaign.
| Attribute | Feed ads | Your welcome letter |
|---|---|---|
| Where it lands | Somewhere in a scrolling feed | In their letterbox, in their hands |
| Who else is in it | Every advertiser bidding that day | Only you, in your niche |
| When it reaches them | Whenever the algorithm decides | Their first weeks in the suburb |
| What you can prove | Impressions that may never be seen | Delivery, scans and redemptions |

Fair questions
What solar installers ask us first.
This is the one trade where that distinction really matters, and it is worth raising with us when you enquire. Solar sold to a renter is wasted postage, and we would rather scope your suburbs properly than send you letters that cannot convert.
The scan is not the sale, it is the first step. It puts an assessment request or a callback in front of you and stamps the date, so a lead that closes four months later is still attributable to the letter that started it. Long sales cycles are the ones that benefit most from having the origin recorded.
Other trades
A suburb holds one of each.
Holding Solar in a suburb does not stop anybody else holding theirs. These are the neighbours you would share a letter round with, never the competition.
