Be the practice they register with before anything hurts.
A new mover does not have a local dentist. Not a preferred one, not a lapsed one. The slot is genuinely empty, and it gets filled once.
One dentist per suburb · free to check
The moment
The only patient list that is truly open
Winning a dental patient from a competing practice is hard and slow, because most people stay where their records are unless something goes wrong. A household that has just moved suburbs is the rare exception: there is no incumbent to displace.
The catch is that they will not think about it until they need to, and by then they will search, call whoever answers, and stay there for years. A letter that arrives while they are still settling in puts your name in the drawer before that phone call ever happens.
the first months
what they are deciding
- Which practice to transfer the family's records to
- Where to take the children for a first check-up
- Who to call when something goes wrong at 8am
None of it is settled yet. Somebody gets to be first.
all of it still
up for grabs
The offer
What your letter actually says.
Your welcome letter
“When you are ready to find a local dentist, we have kept a new patient appointment aside for you.”
your new neighbours at your business
Your welcome gift
New patient exam and clean
Offers that work for dental practices
You choose the offer and we design the card around it. These are the shapes that tend to earn a first visit from someone who has nothing to compare you to yet.
- New patient exam and clean at a set price
- Complimentary check-up for children under twelve
- A no-cost consultation for new residents
Examples, not a menu. Anything you can honour at the counter can go on the card.
Why it works
Feels like a welcome. Tracks like a campaign.
| Attribute | Feed ads | Your welcome letter |
|---|---|---|
| Where it lands | Somewhere in a scrolling feed | In their letterbox, in their hands |
| Who else is in it | Every advertiser bidding that day | Only you, in your niche |
| When it reaches them | Whenever the algorithm decides | Their first weeks in the suburb |
| What you can prove | Impressions that may never be seen | Delivery, scans and redemptions |

Fair questions
What dental practices ask us first.
A personally addressed welcome letter with a clearly described offer is ordinary practice marketing, and it is the same information you would put on a website or a local ad. It is worth having your own compliance check against the AHPRA advertising guidelines before you settle the wording, and we will work to whatever you need the letter to say.
Letters go to every new mover in the suburbs you hold, because we know a household has moved rather than who is in it. For most practices that is the point: a single new resident today is a family in the same postcode in five years, and you are already the practice they know.
Other trades
A suburb holds one of each.
Holding Dentist in a suburb does not stop anybody else holding theirs. These are the neighbours you would share a letter round with, never the competition.
